The Run for Mercy is one of the most highly attended races in Kansas City, and you can be one of more than 1,500 people who will help improve the lives of South African children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Please email Susan at rfmvolunteer@oceansofmercy.com Course Details and SafetyThis popular USATF sanctioned route is a 5K and 10K road course with no looping and a fairly level terrain. Pets, bikes, rollerblades, motorized vehicles and head sets are not permitted. Baby strollers are allowed for walkers only. All animals prohibited, except for those assisting the blind. Due to unforeseen issues with speed in the detour areas with the closure of Johnston Drive / K-7 interchange, the Shawnee Police department have respectively requested the 10K course be modified to ensure safety of our participants. Packet PickupRun packets will be available for pickup April 16 at Westside Family Church at 83rd and K-7 in Lenexa, Kansas from 11 am to 7 pm. Additionally packet pickup is available prior to the race on April 17 at Monticello Trails Middle School from 6:30am to 7:30am. T-shirts will provided to the first 1,200 while supplies last!
